Crash Course in landowning

In this video documentary my father teaches and tells me about our summer cottage and its surrounding land in northern Finland.

I had prepared for the occasion with more or less dumb questions, a video camera and a microphone.

I was getting close to my 40th birthday and realized I know really nothing about how to look after the forest, land and the buildings that my family own.

The Crash Course in landowning project was selected and done specifically for the exhibition Homeland at the Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art in Vaasa Finland 2014/2015.
